JONATHAN LLOYD

Jonathan Lloyd is a Northumberland-based painter and printmaker popular for his distinctively bold, abstract style and vivid colours. When his print 'Altarpiece in Dazzle Camouflage' was exhibited alongside work by Tracey Emin in the 2015 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, the piece and his other prints sold out within the first three hours of the exhibition opening. The work was painstakingly hand-carved in a series of woodblocks and printed on fine Japanese paper.
Inspired by the British landscape, Lloyd's work varies between geometric, graphic pieces and more gestural, expressive works. His painterly aesthetic is constantly developing and evolving.
Lloyd studied Fine Art at Maidstone and has exhibited extensively across the UK.
